Mets Win 10-3 Vargas Is on a Hot Streak

Picture
Staten Island, NY-  Todd Frazier hit a first-inning grand slam and drove in a season-high five runs and Jason Vargas was effective for a fourth straight outing as the Mets avoided a three-game sweep with an 10-3 win over the Cubs on Wednesday afternoon at Wrigley Field. TodFather is nothing but impressive and the Mets Should really considered in playing him everyday. While having a great pitching match-up The big difference in seeing Vargas being successful is the breaking ball. His breaking ball is sharper and conspired to set the effectiveness with the batters. Coming backing the swing of things, The Mets Manger Mickey Callaway is confidant in Jason Vargas and willing to Play with just tempting later in the game to win 2 out of 3 in Chicago.

Thank God For Nimmo To Return

nimmo's
Thank god Brandon Nimmo really didn't hurt himself too badly. Brandon brusied his finger but he going to be ok. It was like a breath of Fresh Air to finally see him on Wesnday playing if he is going to play. This is good news for Mets Fan to see him back and hopefully fresh and ready to go. Before he got injured he has been one of the Mets Players to really show what he can do .265 batting line with 15 home runs and 39 RBIs in 109 games prior to going on the DL This is impressive to really see him into a star for Mets.

Daniel Murphy To the Rescue For Mets Loss

daniel murphy
Here are a few Notes i would like to Give a Recap of Last night's Game

The Mets have lost eight straight games to the Cubs and 13 of 14 regular season contests at Wrigley Field. Chicago swept New York at Citi Field from May 31-June 3. The Mets are 9-21 (.300) against the Cubs since 2014.
Jay Bruce has hit safely in all four games since he returned from the disabled list after his pinch-hit single in the ninth.
Jeff McNeil flied out as a pinch-hitter in the seventh to end his hitting streak at 11 games.
Rosario is hitting .304 (24-for-79) with six extra-base hits, 14 RBIs and 15 runs scored in his last 18 games.
Blevins surrendered his first runs since July 15, a span of 10 2/3 innings.
Syndergaard has surrendered two runs or fewer in 10 of his 19 starts but once in his last six. The 25-year-old made his Major League debut at Wrigley Field on May 12, 2015.

Hip Hip Olay To the Highest Player in the NFL

beckham
This is what the Giants and Odell Beckham Jr. always wanted. The Giants never wanted to trade him. Beckham never wanted to leave. They both wanted a long-term marriage, and they both understood how high the price would have to be.So now Beckham is getting a five-year, $95 million contract extension with a whopping $65 million guaranteed.

Because this isn't about past performance, Beckham earned this money by being arguably the best receiver in the NFL over the first four years of his career. If the Giants didn't think he could be the same for the next four or five years, they would've easily gone in another direction.
But at 25 years old, there is a feeling that the best may still be to come for Beckham, even after he missed most of last season with an ankle injury. He has looked healthy, explosive and as fast as ever. The Giants see no reason why he can't be a 90-100-catch, 1,300-yard, 10-touchdown receiver again.
Of course, now he has to be. That's the price of getting paid more than any other NFL receiver. A simple 70-catch, 1,000-yard season won't do. The pressure is on Beckham to be great, at least for the next few seasons. And it's a reasonable expectation as he enters his prime.
But the pressure isn't just on him. A good case can be made that the Giants wasted the first four seasons of Beckham's career because of a lackluster surrounding cast. They had a terrible offensive line, which left their quarterback under siege, they had no real ability to run the football, and the rest of the receiving corps was weak. The result, as everyone could see, was that the Giants' offense was often a one-man show.
They can't let that happen again because they have invested too much in his success. They've already made a big bet on Eli Manning, that he's still good enough to lead them to a championship sometime in the next two years. But he won't be able to do that if the rest of the offense is so poor that Beckham is constantly being double- or triple-covered. They need to make sure the other options are good.
Now, the good news is they seem to be headed in that direction. The addition of Saquon Barkleyshould be a big help. And tight end Evan Engram and receiver Sterling Shepard seem like terrific alternative options in the passing attack. If they can solidify the offensive line, maybe they do have enough talent around Beckham to really turn him loose and let him ignite a championship run.
But they have to. Beyond the money, they have to do right by Beckham and he has to do right by them, and together they have to make sure that during his Giants career -- which now runs through the 2023 season -they are not stuck in the morass of mediocrity. The Giants are paying for greatness and greatness should be expected.

david wright
Mets 3B David Wright went 1-for-4 with a single and played the entire game at third base on Friday in his latest rehab game with St. Lucie. Which Makes David 35 But is the New Trend 35 The comeback the Mets Need you never know he says he look good and feels good. David Wright Wants to get back on the field again. Shall we see David Wright this September I believe he should just keep getting his work and hopefully The Mets Bring David Wright a Championship Ring For him.

Sam Darnold the Brown Dirty Cowboy For Jets

Picture
Staten Island, NY-    The Most Important to Having the audition for the Jets is to see what they go for the QB Spot. As Full Half against the first defense team was as simple is putting in Sam Darnold to see what he got. Todd Bowles think and believes that he is so good that he will probably start him in the season opener. Darnold only completed 8 of 16 passes for 86 yards in the Jets' 22-16 loss to the Giants on Friday night. But beyond the numbers the kid continued to look like he's ready. He led two touchdown drives against the Giants' first-team defense, despite a leaky offensive line, generally poor field position and a patchwork receiving corps. Yes, his numbers probably should have been better. However He has Been most impressive so far in his last Three Starts in the Pre-season, Several times he escaped a pocket that was collapsing and managed to get in position to throw the ball away. Once, on a 3rd and 13, he moved up through the pocket and took off for a 15-yard run. He Has speed and he is willing to use his legs for power. Maybe Teddy Bridgewater is the best quarterback in camp. Maybe Josh McCown would be a steadying influence for a still-young team. And maybe there will be some struggles early as Darnold adjusts to life as an NFL starter. But it's been clear so far that he can handle that. No, he wasn't great on Friday night. But nothing he did gave any indication that he's not up for the job.

Redemption From Tuesday's Disaster

Picture
Staten Island, New York - As the Mets Take a 1-1 Split Winning  6-3 , Tonight wasn't so bad for the Metropolitans While Steven Matz yet had another outstanding performance. Going five Strong Innings allowing 2 run  2 hits and 1 walk. The Mets Bench yet didn't heat up till late into the game. While Contributed Mets Landed two in the 7th Inning and then a Rocket three run Home-run By Micheal Conforto Which Lead the Mets Wide Open.  The Player of the Game Jeff McNeil Went 4-4 and had an outstanding performance at the dish. Steven Matz retiring 12 batters before giving up his second Hit to Gorkys Hernandez which brought in Reliever Corey Oswalt  while allowed  just one hit and three strikeouts. As Oswalt strikeout Brandon Crawford on three pitches for the second out in the 8th to give Mets The Cushion 6-3 win. what can we say about the Bats that sure did come in handy when the Mets needed it in tonight game, Like Austin Jackson which was such a big addition to this ball club and shows signs in staying on till next season. Jeff McNeil 4-4 who was such a great call up from the Mets Minor League system Triple A Norfolk . While its always great to see Micheal Conforto Hit a blast right out of the stadium with a 3 run HR. 13th Inning Disaster , Leads to Mets Lost

Picture
Smith and Rasario collide despite poor talent on Dominic Smith's behalf. The Mets not only show poor talent with Dominic Smith but show's example on why he should never see the baseball field for the Mets. His talent on the field is the worst we have ever seen in Franchise History. Why is he even on this ball club. What the Mets should do is bring him back down in the minors and should learn his skills all over again. This is really bad Management, to Terry Collins oh wait sorry Mickey Callaway. Mickey Callaway is nothing but a big disappointment to this franchise  and the worst i seen next to Jerry Manuel which makes him look better. Wheeler pitched nothing but just brilliant baseball Last night Going 7 innings leaving one run 5 hits and 10 strikeouts. We all know despite Pitching which has really been to much of an issue this year, except the bullpen Blown Most of The Starting Pitching leads and lack of Field Discipline with this players the Mets Need to find a way to let this kid go he is nothing but a big side show distraction. Smith is nothing but a head case and has no talent. Note to Owners Get rid of him before you even have a chance to get an actual first basement in the off-season bring talent not a sideshow.

Syndergaard is No Degrom

Picture
Noah Syndergaard couldn't overcome a rough first inning in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.Syndergaard allowed a season-high four runs and gave up eight hits in 5 2/3 innings, including a poor first inning in which he allowed the first four batters to reach base before he even recorded an out.The 25-year-old Syndergaard (8-3) allowed a leadoff single to Cesar Hernandez and walked Rhys Hoskins to bring up former teammate Asdrubal Cabrera, whose double to left field made it 1-0. Nick Williams followed with an RBI single to center that made it 2-0. Syndergaard got Carlos Santana to hit into a 3-6-3 double play, but Cabrera scored from third to make it 3-0.Syndergaard's struggles with runners on base also continued, as he allowed five stolen bases on Friday to push him into a tie with Steven Matz for the most allowed in the majors this year (25)."I was working on it prior to getting hurt and I'm still trying to get consistent with it," Syndergaard said. "It's definitely an Achilles heel of mine - something that's been disappointing over the last three years and somewhat embarrassing tonight and something I'm going to continue to work on."Added manager Mickey Callaway: "The bottom line is he needs to get better and I think he will."route to a season-high 115 pitches, Syndergaard never threw a 1-2-3 inning on Friday. He allowed an infield single in the second, a two-out walk in the third and started the fourth inning by giving up a leadoff triple to Roman Quinn, who scored on Jorge Alfaro's RBI single that made it 4-1.

Jets To Come Darnold or McGowen

Picture
Since its getting closer to Jets Opening Day Season. Who are the Jets Going to start in next pre-season game? Since Sam Darnold was impressive during his first game having 14 complete passes and  1 touchdown we already know that he will show up to probably start next game. Who to say if Todd Bowles even gives him next game. i know looking at the way he brings himself to be a valuable player seeing what he can do today sure nothing but impressive. At camp talking with Teddy Bridgewater quote said "if Sam is going to go on the field and give everything he got you better off leave him on the field because this kid is going to be a superstar. You never know what he got till you really see him player a full quarter.

Shine Like a Dimond , Star like a Degrom

Picture
Can we say Hands down Jacob Degrom has proven to be the Cy Young Award candidate with lots of Power, Productive outings to prove he has the best stuff in the league. Despite His record with 8-6 with a 1.78 era, Degrom has proven even when the team has fallen short on him. Even though, we wont mention Jacob Degrom is no Tom Seaver, but very close to be a guy who has it all. By shutting down the Best in the American League like Loise Servinro , His outing against deGrom just came up short with player's who stepped up in this game were.  SS, Ahmand Rosario Lead's Off  a solo Home Run to start the night with a blash in upper Deck.  Meanwhile later in the game key highlights like Todd Frazier Home Run, with Micheal Conforto's Solo Home Run to follow. Which brings The best pitcher in baseball  Jacob deGrom leave's in the 7th holding the lead 7-3 in the 7th inning. Then the Mets go on to shut down the Bombers 7-5 with the best start since  August 6th at Citi Field Against the Reds.

Mets' Syndergaard wins second straight start

Syndergaard
Mets RHP Noah Syndergaard won for the fourth time in his last five starts by striking out seven baters and allowing three runs and seven hits in seven innings in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Miami Marlins.
"I felt a lot better mechanically today," Syndergaard told reporters. "I worked on it a lot in between starts and today I felt really comfortable out there. I wasn't really fighting myself on the mound. I really had to dig deep in the seventh inning to get through it."
Syndergaard (8-2) won his second straight start despite allowing at least three runs for the third straight outing. He allowed one run in the first inning, one in the fourth and another in the sixth, but neither he nor the bullpen allowed the Marlins to tie the game after Michael Conforto's sixth-inning homer gave the Mets their fourth run.
The 25-year-old Syndergaard threw 69 of 101 pitches for strikes but allowed three stolen bases, as opponents have stolen 20 of 22 bases against him.
"He's such a big-body guy -- long arms, long limbs -- it's tough for him to slide-step or quick-step to home and have his arm catch up on time," manager Mickey Callaway said. "The thing he's always trying to battle is, do I want to lose stuff and try to control the running game a little bit? ... He's definitely improved. It still needs to continue to improve to get to a satisfactory level."
Syndergaard is 4-1 with a 3.56 ERA in five starts since returning from a strained finger that forced him to miss a month and a half. That time span also includes his short stint on the disabled list with hand, foot and mouth disease.
"It'll be a little easier now that he's going to be out there pitching every (turn in the rotation)," Callaway said. "When you're trying to come back, you're trying to do so many things just to stay healthy. Trying to adjust your delivery to work on something is a little tough."
After Syndergaard surrendered an RBI single to Bryan Holaday that cut the Mets' lead to 4-3, his throwing error put two runners on base for JT Riddle, who flied out to end the sixth inning. At 80 pitches, he came out for the seventh inning and struck out two of the four batters he faced, pitching around a two-out walk.

What A Difference a day Makes For David Wright

Picture
i am being heard from all over the Social media Outlet that David Wright wants to become the leader once again by getting ready to rejoin the field again. as the Mets have hard time with many injured players. I look forward to seeing David Wright back in the Mets Uniform and back in Citi Field. However, While his rehab can get better and foremost, the 35 year old can prove he can come back, it would be great to see him play again. Since 2015 David Wright had Neck and Back injury which put him out since. But the Mets captain will rejoin the Mets and play third darning his rehab game this Sunday in port Saint Lucie. Hoping to see what he can do and excited to see him play.

Zack Wheeler be in Mets Future

Picture
As Mets Fans are trilled that Zack Wheeler has been lights out, The facts are Whereas his future with Mets going to be cut short. In his last 6 starts he is 5-1 and has an era of 2.86 which is a season high for Zack. in 2018 his health has been superb and been feeling great. So far this year Zack has been solid, most of the season and his last two outings with Runners on have been the best in baseball with 22 players on and left 22 out of 33 in scoring position. The question is that if he resigns with Mets will he keep up the with his solid starts? Even-though the Mets didn't trade him at the deadline. Just like fans were so Willing to Trade for him to get a contender or a prospect see him in a Mets Uniform Next season. He will bring new light and hope next season you will see value out of him and with his talent which Mets fans can agree he is way better then Matt Harvey ever was.

Mets Need to Have some Fire Left in the Tanks.

Picture
As Jacob Degrom is the Prime guy for this mets Rotation do expect to see him Pitch the Rest of the way the best he can be. As we all know the season is a wash, Many things could happen for Mets Like having Todd Frazier being the best he can be. How about just having Jose Reyes being the player like he once was. This season was a very disappointment but we better see some moves in the off-season that for sure.

What's the Price to Get Bryce Harper to Mets

Picture
As Mets Fans know that the team is really not going anywhere this year. We can label out the fact that the Mets are not going to be in the race for the World Series in 2018. So we know we have many big ticket Players the Mets could end up looking at this off-season. Like few names like Bryce Harper,  Manny Machado, Could the Mets Even Land a player like AJ Romos Back to Mets. How about Players Justin Wilson which would make a really nice transition in the bullpen. If the Mets want to Get in Depth with Catchers which they do need How about Hector Sanchez who is just only 28 years old and knows the plate well. How about even Cameron Rupp From Seattle having a down year but would look good with the Mets Lineup.  How about Looking for depth with Center field if Juan Largares dosn't plan to be in the cards for Mets i really like the kid from Arizona A.J Pollock he has a nice bat and positions to be a 30 plus home-run player. In addition his bat in the middle of the lineup could be a big help for Mets since Cespedes is not going to be with the team for half of 2019. These are the Many players the Mets could land if ownership could just do their job.

After So Many Tries Degrom Wins

Picture
We can finally set at ease to say Jacob Degrom the Best pitcher on paper finally got a win today against the Reds 8-0. Which to say that since June 18th Was his last win, Degrom pitched a great game once again. The Mets have been up and down with their pitchers as of lately but to say Bullpen is mainly the issue. The Mets furthermost in addition to struggles this year, has to set aside the disappointment with the team to produce runs for Jacob degrom. The curse has been broken and the Mets are happy to get the win for degrom. Therefore to see him getting the win degrom performance this year has been the best even though the team hasn't produced Jacob degrom is deserving the Cy Young award for 2018.

Jets Confident in Darnold

Picture
As I was at the game on Saturday, I would say what I saw was a guy who went out there and did put his money where his mouth is. His effort shows what he can do. With 49 passes five drops were impressive in my book. He was the talk of the whole game. Meanwhile, the Jets are trying to stop the running game from their opposing teams. Jets show lots of excitement penalties are a significant factor of last season which The New York Jets needs to work on more. Dropping on all fours seems to be the trick. Watching Teddy Bridgewater and Mcgrown Which McGrowen was good But Teddy seems not have his stuff to much anymore. McGowen looked impressive in mid season form, While  All eyes were on the Rookie.

Lynn who went out and Made a great outing last night for Yankees. Expect to see him Pitching more to really bring the rotation dominates. Aaron Boone expressed his comments on his performance at Yankee's Stadium " He was Terrific Tonight" Said Manger Aaron Boone. His fastball can cut corners and shut guys out, Furthermore, his ability to pitch in situations and attack the top of the zone shows on how elevated he can become His effectiveness really can become treated for CC while on the DL. McNeil Is Playing like a Superstar

Picture
Mets infielder Jeff McNeil continued his hot hitting by going 3-for-4 with a massive solo home run in Monday's 6-4 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Citi Field.

McNeil's second-career home run was a no-doubter, a deep shot to right field on a Keury Mellachangeup in the sixth inning that gave New York a 6-0 lead.
Prior to Monday's game, Mets manager Mickey Callaway said the 26-year-old McNeil has the Mets wondering "is this guy going to be a kid that [means] we might not have to find a second baseman over the winter?"
And over his last three games, McNeil has gotten hotter and hotter. He is 8-for-12 with two doubles and two RBIs since Saturday, as he now owns a .364/.462/.606 batting line through his first 12 games of his big-league career.
His 2018 season has been nothing short of successful. He started with Double-A Binghamton and slashed .327/.402/.626 in 57 games with 14 home runs and 43 RBIs. Upon his promotion to Triple-A Las Vegas, he stayed hot, hitting .368 with five home runs and 28 RBIs in just 31 games.

With Degrom Loosing chance for Cy Young Award

Picture
DeGrom drove in the team's only run in his most recent masterclass loss to the Braves on Friday night. The Cy Young candidate gave up two runs in eight innings with nine strikeouts and drove in the Mets' only run in their 2-1 loss.
"Everytime when I go out there, I'm trying to put us in a position to win," deGrom said. "We just haven't won baseball games when I'm pitching. It's not like these guys aren't trying to put up runs. It just seems like whenever I'm out there we're not able to score enough to win a baseball game."
deGrom has six games this season of at least eight IP and two ER or fewer. No one else has more than four. In those starts, deGrom is 1-3 with two no-decisions. All other starters in such games? 73-9 with 18 no decisions.
