The 18-year-old Kelenic, who attended Waukesha West High School in Waukesha, Wisconsin, is a left-handed hitter and thrower. Kelenic was ranked as the sixth-best Draft prospect by ESPN's Keith Law, eighth-best by Fangraphs, 10th-best by MLB.com, and 12th-best by Baseball America.Aside from his hitting prowess, Kelenic is viewed as a plus defender with a strong arm who will hit for enough power if he moves from center field to a corner outfield spot.
