Mets 3B Todd Frazier came through in the clutch, belting a two-run homer to deep center field to give New York a 3-2 lead over the Blue Jays.
Frazier kicked off what would be a offensive frenzy for the Mets in the top of the fifth, as he drove the first pitch he saw from Marcus Stroman over the fence. It was his 10th big fly on the season.
Brandon Nimmo also drove in the first run for New York earlier in the game.
Nimmo was in a 2-0 hitter's count in his at-bat in the third inning when he roped a Stroman pitch back up the middle to drive home Kevin Plawecki. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to reach second base as he tried stretching it to a double.
